If you have not reached the top of your salary scale then you will be attested. The Attestation is decided by the Principal who will attest that the teacher has met the appropriate Professional Standards for Secondary Teachers – Criteria for Quality Teaching’ (Collective agreement 4.2.3) See http://ppta.org.nz/collective-agreements/secondary-teachers-collective-agreement-stca/supplement-1-professional-standards-for-secondary-teachers-criteria-for-quality-teaching/ or https://educationcouncil.org.nz/content/teachers-appraisal for further details.
To enable the Principal to make a fair and consistent judgment you need to provide:
- Completed Quality Practice Template (this will be compiled by all staff)
- 2 x Observations
- 2 x Discussions (initial and final appraisal discussions)
- Completed Appraisal document (click link to make your own copy)
- Completed Summary of your TAI (click link to make your own copy)
